New Graduate Nurse Residency Program
Build confidence and skill as you launch your nursing career.
Advocate Health’s New Graduate Nurse Residency Program is a six-month, evidence-based transition-to-practice experience designed to help newly licensed registered nurses build confidence, competence, and connection as they move from academia into professional practice.
Guided by dedicated professional development educators, nurse residents complete a standardized core curriculum focused on clinical judgment, communication, interprofessional teamwork, time management, well-being, and professional growth.
Across Advocate Health regions, the residency experience is grounded in the same core topics, with a blended learning approach that may include live instructor led virtual sessions and self paced modules alongside unit-based clinical orientation and preceptorship.
