Advancing Care Through Military Collaboration
Advocate Health bridges military and civilian medicine through strong partnerships and the Office of Operational Medicine — enhancing patient care while expanding career pathways for service members and veterans. These efforts bring military expertise into civilian settings to drive innovation and improve outcomes.

Military partnerships that strengthen care – and careers
Advocate Health is nationally recognized for bringing civilian and military medicine together. These partnerships strengthen patient care while creating meaningful career pathways.
Through collaborations with the Department of Defense, Department of Veterans Affairs, and elite military units, clinicians maintain readiness while serving in diverse settings—from urban hospitals to rural communities.

Office of Operational Medicine
Launched in December 2025, the Office of Operational Medicine bridges military and civilian care. Its focus is clear: translate lessons from high-stakes environments into safer, more effective patient care.
The Office also expands opportunities for service members and veterans by strengthening training partnerships, growing hiring pipelines, and advancing research in trauma, resuscitation, prosthetics, and pain management.
An award winning military employer
Our commitment to those who serve is recognized at the highest levels. Advocate Health is proud to support veterans, National Guard, and Reserve teammates through meaningful partnerships and programs.
